Rio Launches Man Bag And Shoe Collection

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has designed and launched a range of shoes and fashion accessories that includes bags for men. These bags are frequently referred to as 'man bags.'

The Premiership player may have spent most of the summer out of action and with his feet off the ground because of that serious knee injury, but that hasn't stopped him from thinking about feet and footwear in general!

Rio's Autumn/Winter shoes and accessories collection is called 'Five' which, as you may or may not already know, refers to the number on his football shirt! Ferdinand has made no secret of the fact that he's a dedicated follower of fashion, so it seems like a natural string to add to his ever increasing bow (he also co-owns an Italian restaurant). The 'Five' collection will be sold on his home turf in shops in Manchester's' Trafford Centre and also the City Centre.

The shoe collection has a work wear feel to it with inspiration from workers boots and motorcycle boots influencing Rio's designs. Fans of Rio have not been priced out of the market as the shoes price range starts at a reasonable £60. Other items in the collection include wallets and 'man bags.' Whilst it may be reasonable to expect our Premiership players to carry off the man bag look, it's not so certain that the man on the street can pull off the look - or will even want to!
