Shoe Storage - Sex And The City Style

With the second Sex and The City film premiering in New York and London last week all eyes were on the stars of the show and what they were wearing on the red carpet.

At the London Premiere Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to fashion designer Alexander McQueen, wearing a black dress that McQueen designed especially for her 2 years ago. She topped the outfit off with a quirky Philip Treacy hat. The stunning McQueen dress was strapless and featured a raised-at-the-front hemline, which showed off her lace platform shoes – also made by McQueen.

A few days earlier at the New York Premiere, SJP stole the show in a stunning canary yellow dress made by Valentino Couture. She teamed the flamboyant dress with a cute pair of Salvatore Ferragamo heels. Later on in the evening, perhaps a little fed-up with having to hold onto the swishy train on the Valentino dress, SJP changed into a black dress that comprised a stunning sheer lace top falling into a netted pleated knee length skirt. She teamed this dress up with a pair of turquoise and black heels that seem to be something of a favourite at the moment with all the tabloids reporting that she has been seen out in the same heels a shocking 3 times! The platform shoes in question are by British designer Nicholas Kirkwood and cost a cool £665.

It seems that, rather like her character in Sex and the City, Sarah is something of a shoe fan. Who can forget the SATC episode where Carrie realised she had spent ,000 on shoes but couldn't afford the deposit on a new flat, let alone the requisite shoe storage. One can only imagine how SJP manages when it comes to shoe storage – it would seem to require organisation of military precision!
